     Hi Jessica,
     I thought about this too as a mini shoulder bag with a little chain strap! But when the coin purse is full actually changes shape when you open it and looks like the bottom of a triangle. When you close it, it goes back into its cookie shape. While this works well with coins, it probably would not work well with a tube of lipstick, credit cards, and other things that I usually put in my “bigger” purses
