| 001-99 | Preconsumer scraps from a high-end designer furniture company After furniture patterns are cut out, this leather scrap is left over. These scraps were destined for the dumpster, but a friend at the company saved them for me. |
| 101-174 | Remnant leather from the garment district Someone mistakenly wrote on this pelt with magic marker which bled through the pelt, making it unsuitable for garments. Since the coin purse pattern is small, I was able to cut cookies from the clean areas on this pelt. |
| 175-300 | Remnant leather from the garment district This pelt had ink stains making it unsuitable for garments. I cut cookies from the clean areas on this pelt. |
| 301- 375 | Rescued from an upholstery sample This leather had been upholstered onto a sample chair before the designer decided that it wasn’t the right texture. It was then ripped off and discarded. I found these pieces in a box of different colors and texture leather all with the stitching still in place from their short lives upholstered to different sample furniture. |
| 376-439 | Remnant leather from the garment district This leather was not properly finished and has a lot of discolorations. I cut cookies from the properly colored parts on this pelt. |
| 440-450 | Remnant leather from the garment district (continued from 175-300) This pelt had ink stains making it unsuitable for garments. I cut cookies from the clean areas on this pelt. |
| 451-509 | Remnant leather from the garment district This little scrap had been cut off of a larger pelt because it had some ink stains and stretch marks. I was still able to cut 20 cookies from the undamaged areas of the scrap. |
| 510-550 | Remnant leather from a wholesale supplier This furniture leather color and style had been discontinued. The piece was too small to upholster a piece of furniture, but not too small to cut cookies. |
| 551-569 | Remnant leather from the garment district This is a collection of very small remnants and swatches in various cookie colors that have been picked up during 2010 from all of my remnant leather hunting adventures. Even though the pieces are small it is sad to think of them going to waste. |
| 570-599 | Remnant leather from the garment district This large pelt had large stains striping across the surface. I was able to cut cookie patterns from between the striped stains. |
| 600-676 | Remnant leather from a wholesale supplier This leather color and style had been discontinued. The piece was too small to make much, but not too small to cut cookies. |
| 680-779 | Preconsumer scraps from a furniture company I discovered these large pieces at an odd little shop in the garment district. These pieces had furniture patterns cut from them and some still had the Edelman Leather label. The shop owner confirmed that these were pieces left over from a furniture company and the internet confirmed that Edelman is a furniture leather supplier. |
| 780-804 | Preconsumer scraps from the garment center Part of our limited edition Holiday Gold 2010 collection, these scraps were what remained after patterns had been cut from a very soft large gold pelt. |
| 805-811 | Swatches saved from the trash I do not normally use swatches, but these were actually destined for the trash and made very nice gold cookies. Part of our limited edition Holiday Gold 2010 collection. |
| 850-960 | Preconsumer scraps from a furniture company I discovered these large pieces at an odd little shop in the garment district. These pieces had furniture patterns cut from them and some still had the Edelman Leather label. The shop owner confirmed that these were pieces left over from a furniture company and the internet confirmed that Edelman is a furniture leather supplier. |
